SEM: ‘Auto-ethnographic reflections on ecological grief’, Thursday 28 Nov., 8pm Paris time
As part of the LARCA Environmental Humanities seminar series, the following papers will be presented online (abstracts below)
- ‘Exploring somatic solastalgia through auto-ethnographic photo-walks in Santiniketan, India’ with Aadita CHAUDHURY (York University, Toronto)
- ‘The world is ending and we’re all going to die: autoethnographic reflections on anticipatory grief and planetary awareness’ with Jodie JARVIS (Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka/University of Otago, Aotearoa)
The session, ‘Auto-ethnographic reflections on ecological grief,’ is also the first online pre-panel for the international conference on Ecological Grief in the Literature and the Arts in the Anglophone World (3-4 April 2025, Université Paris Cité, LARCA & Institut Catholique de Paris). The time for this first meeting will be 2pm Toronto (Canada) time, 7pm London (UK) time, 8 pm Paris (France) time on Thursday 28 and 8 am Wellington (New Zealand) time on Friday 29.
